AMS offers two different material types when it comes to soil augers. Carbon steel augers feature carbon steel bails, stainless steel (SST) cylinders, and heat-treated, high-carbon steel bits with tungsten carbide hard-surfaced edges. SST models are completely constructed of SST making them ideal for environmental sampling and EPA testing.
